Join us on our mission to shape the future of our industry.
We are seeking a relentless, elite Strategic Client Executive to own and grow a defined territory. This is not a relationship-maintenance role. You will hunt, build, and close — driving net-new logo acquisition, expanding major accounts, and competing to win in one of the most mission-critical categories in enterprise technology: data security and AI-powered resilience. You will engage senior decision-makers, articulate the value of next-generation data security platforms, and build compelling business cases that connect security, resilience, compliance, and operational efficiency to customer outcomes. You’ll partner closely with world-class Sales Engineers, channel partners, and an executive team deeply invested in your success.
HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:
- Open and land marquee new logos, then expand them to reshape your territory; coach others on hunting
- Own a small book of named accounts and build multi-year strategic account plans, reviewing them with leadership and tying them to customer outcomes
- Set strategy for multi-region, multi-year strategic agreements, leading cross-functional deal teams and modeling discovery and qualification for others
- Operate at the C-suite and board level, orchestrating executive sponsorship and mobilizing executives and cross-functional leaders across regions; model resilience and clear communication in long strategic pursuits
- Frame enterprise-wide risk, resilience, and cost narratives; design enterprise-scale agreements and ELAs, shape pricing and commercial models around the customer’s strategy, and coach others on complex structures
- Shape enterprise-wide platform strategies spanning data security, cyber resilience, cloud, and AI, and set the portfolio narrative for marquee accounts as a recognized category authority
- Serve as executive sponsor for marquee customers, accountable with Customer Success and Renewals for outcomes, growth, and renewal; build long-term advocacy (references, speaking, advisory boards)
- Build strategic partner and alliance relationships at the executive level, including NVIDIA, IBM, HPE, and AWS, while maintaining deal ownership
- Contribute to regional forecast and GTM planning, and deliver consistent quarterly and annual results
- Shape GTM strategy, develop others, help shape enablement content and tool adoption, and represent Cohesity externally
WE’D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
- Approximately 10+ years of enterprise sales experience, ideally spanning infrastructure and SaaS
- Demonstrated experience selling into and partnering with Information Security / Cybersecurity teams, with a strong understanding of enterprise security frameworks, compliance standards, and the ability to align solutions to customer security and risk requirements
- Customer-obsessed mindset and passion for cybersecurity, especially post-incident recovery
- Demonstrated success landing net-new logos and expanding large enterprise accounts
- Expert knowledge of data security architectures, ransomware resilience, and the competitive landscape, with depth in regulated verticals
- Familiarity with Cohesity solutions (DataProtect, DataHawk, SmartFiles) strongly preferred; knowledge of NetBackup, Backup Exec, and InfoScale, including immutable storage, hardened media servers, ACL-based controls, and encryption
- Strong channel DNA, with the ability to co-sell while maintaining deal ownership
- Exceptional communication skills, including executive and board-level presentations and business case development
- Proficiency with the sales stack (Salesforce, forecasting tools) and demonstrated use of AI tools to improve productivity, organization, and sales effectiveness
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Professional English language proficiency for customer and internal communication
- Willingness to travel as required within the assigned territory
