Detailed Scheduler
The Detailed Scheduler develops, maintains and optimizes the production schedule within the applicable 1–12 week scheduling horizon using local scheduling tools (OMP) and creates process orders in line with the approved schedule. The role balances the latest customer demand, available capacity and downstream replenishment across products, production lines and the site, to enable a stable and executable schedule.
Acting as a key business partner to Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Commercial stakeholders, the Detailed Scheduler proactively identifies supply risks, addresses operational constraints, and drives continuous improvement in planning processes. Timely escalation is a critical responsibility: when risks or constraints cannot be resolved within the role’s authority or agreed timelines, the scheduler escalates them to the appropriate stakeholders with a clear assessment of the potential impact, mitigation options, and decisions required, and follows up until resolution.

- Take prompt action to resolve operational delays and adapt production schedules in response to unexpected material constraints.
- Optimize customer service to avoid stock outs; identify and address potential short-term supply constraints within the weekly process; analyze daily supply/demand alerts and address or escalate accordingly
Stakeholder Collaboration & S&OP
- Provide Production Planning input into S&OP process. Provides transparency of risks and opportunities. Participates in S&OP forums as applicable.
- Collaborate and partner with operations to ensure accurate supply parameters (cycle times, set-up times, yield, throughput) and capacity parameters (total usable hours; target capacity, planned hours)
- Execute planning activities for product introductions and discontinuations, including final production runs, stock builds, and decommissioning or obsolescence activities.
Performance Management & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze planning and operational data to identify risks, exceptions, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and communicate scenarios, trade-offs, and recommendations supported by data-driven insights.
- Leverage AI and digital tools to simplify day-to-day planning activities, automate repetitive tasks, and improve efficiency, in line with company policies and data security requirements.
- Challenge the status quo and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes performance, reliability, and efficiency.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Champion quality, safety, and compliance in all planning activities.
