IT Support & Network Technician

About Us: North Community Counseling Centers (NCCC) is a nonprofit, mental health and addiction agency that has been providing essential services since 1968. We’re on a mission to assist people in the community to achieve their maximum potential by providing behavioral healthcare services in a healthy, comfortable, and safe environment. With four locations and home- and school-based programs, NCCC is able to offer solutions to challenges related to mental health and addiction. In addition to therapy, NCCC offers case management, substance use disorder treatment, and youth and adolescent programming.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Travel between agency locations as needed to provide onsite support with computers, laptops, printers, phones, and access points.
· Install, configure, maintain, and replace computers, printers, scanners, and other technology equipment.
· Assist with basic network troubleshooting, including Wi-Fi, switches, access points, cabling, and internet connectivity, server, security, and infrastructure issues as requested by Agency Administration or the MSP.
· Maintain communication with the MSP regarding open tickets, projects, and recurring technology problems.
· Set up technology and user access for new employees as needed.
· Disable or remove user access when employees leave the organization as needed.
· Assist with Microsoft 365 accounts, passwords, permissions, email, and basic application issues for specified administrative staff.
· Maintain accurate inventory of computers, phones, network equipment, and other technology assets.
· Document technology issues, resolutions, equipment changes, and recurring problems.
· Monitor and respond to IT support requests and prioritize issues based on urgency and operational impact.
· Assist with basic network equipment installation and troubleshooting at agency locations.
· Help test and implement new technology.
· Identify recurring technical issues and recommend practical solutions.
· Follow agency cybersecurity, HIPAA, privacy, and technology policies.
· Immediately report suspected security incidents to appropriate agency leadership and the MSP.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Three or more years of IT support, help desk, desktop support, networking, or similar experience preferred.
· Additional IT education, certification, or technical training is preferred but not required.
Knowledge and Skills
The successful candidate should have experience or familiarity with several of the following:
· Windows computers and laptops
· Microsoft 365, Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint and Teams
· Computer hardware troubleshooting
· Printers and scanners
· User account and password management
· Basic networking concepts including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, and access points
· Ethernet cabling and network connectivity troubleshooting
· Active Directory and/or Microsoft Entra ID
· Ticketing/help-desk systems
Experience with any of the following is helpful but not required:
· Ubiquiti networking equipment
· WatchGuard firewalls
· VMware
· Microsoft Server
· Veeam
· FreePBX or VoIP phone systems
· CareLogic or other behavioral-health electronic health record systems
Additional Qualifications
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to determine when an issue can be resolved internally and when it should be escalated to the MSP.
· Strong customer-service skills and ability to communicate technical information clearly to nontechnical employees.
· Ability to manage multiple support requests and prioritize work appropriately.
· Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with agency leadership, employees, vendors, and the MSP.
· Reliable transportation and ability to travel between agency locations.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive and protected information.
Position Type: Part-Time
Pay: $22.00–$26.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime hours; hybrid with travel to agency locations as needed
