About Encore AI

Encore AI builds AI agents for financial institutions that handle real banking workflows end to end: onboarding, lending, applications, servicing, transaction and card queries, and handoff to a human when needed. Live today at banks and lenders including Byline Bank and iLending. At Byline Bank, Encore cut KYC onboarding time by 30% and false positives by 15%. At iLending, it drove 30% higher loan conversion. Backed by Team8, having raised $30M, and doubling in size every six months.

The moment

The product works in production, at real banks, with numbers to show for it: 30% faster KYC onboarding and 15% fewer false positives at Byline Bank, 30% higher loan conversion at iLending. Byline and iLending are proof that the model works. As an account executive, you’ll turn that proof into new accounts. You’ll own deals from first conversation to signed contract with midsize US banks and lenders, the same kind of buyer who has already said yes. You’ll report to the VP of Sales, North America, sell alongside them at first, and take on your own deals as you ramp, working with a sales engineer. The team is growing to 5 account executives by the end of the year, and the account executives who join now will help shape the playbook the rest of the team uses.

What you’ll own

- Own the full sales cycle from first conversation to signed contract with midsize US banks and lenders: build pipeline, run discovery, demo live, run the pilot, negotiate, and close.

- Sell alongside the VP of Sales at first, then lead conversations on your own with the head of retail banking, SVP lending, and the CPO/CDO/COO who signs.

- Run sales cycles that lead with discovery: quantify the prospect’s pain and urgency on the first call, demo live, and close the loop without extra demos.

- Build your own pipeline beyond the CEO’s network through outbound, inbound, and referral, and prioritize accounts against the ICP and qualification criteria.

- Run proof of value pilots: agree one conversion metric per pilot, hold to a fixed timeline, and move the buyer from pilot to signed contract.

- Work with the sales engineer on demos, technical diligence, and security and compliance reviews with bank stakeholders.

- Use the Byline and iLending results as reference stories in your deals, and bring back what you learn from buyers to improve the ICP, the pilot structure, and the case studies.

- Carry a quota, keep your pipeline and CRM current, and give the VP of Sales an accurate forecast.

Requirements- Has carried a quota and closed new business personally, at a small or growing company where they ran the deal themselves rather than supporting a larger sales organization.

- Can describe, concretely, deals they closed themselves: the buyer, the deal size, the length of the cycle, and what they did to win it.

- Has sold into a regulated or otherwise complex buying environment: financial services, banking, lending, or similarly compliance heavy verticals strongly preferred. Comfortable in a room with a CFO, FP&A, or compliance stakeholder.

- Can describe, concretely, how they qualify and quantify urgency on a first call, and why it shortens their sales cycle.

- Has built their own pipeline through outbound and referral, not only worked inbound leads, and brings strong drive and a record of hitting or exceeding quota.

- Has sold against a crowded competitive field and won on differentiation, not price, and can describe how they track and counter specific competitors.

- Based in or willing to relocate to New York. This role is in the office.

Nice to have

- Familiarity with founder led, fast moving organizations.

- Experience selling AI or agentic products, or translating a technical product into an economic story for a nontechnical buyer.

- Existing relationships with decision makers at midsize US banks and lenders.

Process & Compensation

Expect five conversations: an initial screen, a deeper discussion of the deals you have closed and how you run a sales cycle, 30 minutes with the CEO, a technical and product session with the CTO, and a final round where you will run a live mock discovery call.

Compensation: $120K to $160K base, $240K to $320K OTE (2x base at plan), plus equity. Equity economics are discussed directly with the CEO in the final stages.
