Placement Year – CPS Marketing Intern
Are you up for an epic journey with one of the world's most influential tech brands and award-winning marketing campaigns? Across blended reality technology, immersive computing, commercial PCs, tablets, notebooks, printing, and leading innovation in 3D printing that will revolutionise the manufacturing industry like never before, we engineer experiences that amaze.
We are seeking an ambitious student to join our Consumer Personal Systems (CPS) and Gaming teams and win alongside remarkable people. We're looking for someone who is ready to face and overcome challenges and, most importantly, to learn, develop and grow within the business.
This is a placement year opportunity, which will run for 13 months, from July 2027 until July 2028.
Responsibilities:
- Support the planning, launch and optimisation of marketing campaigns that drive real sales of our range of CPS and Gaming products and services.
- Help keep campaigns, budgets and timelines running smoothly day to day.
- Track and report on campaign performance, spotting what's working, what isn't and where the next win could come from.
- Help bring creative to life by coordinating digital assets from brief to going live online.
- Help plan and manage influencer campaigns, from finding the right creators to tracking results.
- Support the delivery of gaming events, from planning and logistics to on-the-day activation.
- Work with colleagues across HP, agencies and media partners, building the stakeholder skills to get things done.
Beyond your day-to-day role, you'll also have the chance to:
- Take part in charity fundraising events and join our Business Impact Networks.
- Develop a recruitment plan for your successor.
- Get involved in the HP Mentor Scheme to grow your professional network and learn from an experienced mentor.
- Join the Intern Committee and enjoy social events with fellow interns.
What we are looking for:
- A strong eye for detail, with good organisation and time management skills.
- A proactive problem solver who brings fresh ideas and new approaches.
- An analytical mindset, comfortable using data to spot insights and inform decisions.
- A genuine eagerness to learn and make the most of all the opportunities at HP.
- A passion for PC gaming is a bonus, but not essential.
- You must be an undergraduate at a UK university, on a course that includes a placement year in industry. Marketing, Communications or Business Management degrees are preferred but not essential.
Over 13 months, you'll gain real, hands-on experience at one of the world's most iconic technology companies. Our interns are an integral part of our marketing teams, and you'll play a key role in how we deliver campaigns and drive business results.
Throughout the programme, your manager will take a genuine interest in your development. They'll set clear goals with you and give you regular feedback along the way. You'll also learn from experienced marketers and senior leaders, and collaborate with colleagues across HP's international teams.
At HP, the future is yours to create.
