We believe every young person is different. By creating individualised programmes around their needs, interests and circumstances, we help them build confidence, feel comfortable and, most importantly, find their spark.
Pushforward Education Group consists of numerous subsidiaries; this role will be looking after 3 to 4 companies within the Group.
We're looking for a detail-driven Bookkeeper to join a vibrant Finance team. You'll play a key role in keeping the financial processes accurate and running smoothly. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys precision work, and is confident handling conversations about finance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- using Xero software
- data entry to Trial Balance
- Purchase ledger
- Bank reconciliation
- VAT preparation
- Coding of debit card transactions
- Analysis creation and reporting
- Assistance with sales ledger and debt collection.
You will process and code all transactions within the debit card platform with precision, following set procedures to ensure that transactions are correctly evaluated and processed before being exported into the Xero accounting system.
You will be:
- Solution-focused, able to think through problems and find practical ways forward.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and changing demands.
- Methodical and accurate, with fantastic attention to detail.
- A confident communicator, comfortable gathering information and asking the right questions to make informed decisions.
- A strong problem solver, able to balance individual learner needs with practical and logistical considerations.
- Confident with IT systems, with the ability to learn and use different systems effectively.
- A team player, comfortable working collaboratively with colleagues across different departments.
You will have:
- Attention to detail: Catch small data errors before they grow.
- Good Time management: Meeting strict deadlines.
- Clear communication skills: Explain complex money data in plain words.
- Ethical integrity: Maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive financial data.
Due to the nature and responsibility of the role, applicants must have a minimum of three years’ bookkeeping experience.
