Customer Support Advisor (B2B)
Sheffield city centre, hybrid (3 days in the office) | £26,500 to £28,500 + monthly bonus | Permanent, full time
Bumper lets drivers spread the cost of car repairs and servicing, and makes sure the dealerships and garages doing the work get paid. We’re an FCA-regulated fintech working with partners across the UK and Europe.
The role
You’ll be the main point of contact for the dealerships and garages that use Bumper. Most of your day is on the phone and email, helping them with whatever comes up. That might be how something works, a question about an invoice, or why a payment came through the way it did. You’ll also help new partners get set up by chasing the documents we need and gathering their details for our compliance checks.
It’s busy and varied. Some calls take two minutes. Others mean digging into a remittance, working out what happened and explaining it clearly to someone who wants an answer now. If you like getting to the bottom of things and you’re comfortable with numbers, you’ll enjoy it.
What you’ll do
- Handle calls and emails from our dealership and garage partners, aiming to resolve things first time
- Help partners with invoice, remittance and settlement queries
- Support onboarding by chasing outstanding documents and pulling together information for KYC checks
- Keep good notes and work to clear standards for response times and quality
- Follow our regulatory standards, making sure partners and their customers are treated fairly and their data is handled properly
What we’re looking for
- At least a year in customer support, a contact centre or a helpdesk. Business-to-business experience is ideal, but we’d also love to hear from people who’ve supported customers in banking, lending, insurance or similar
- Confidence with numbers and quick to pick up new systems
- A clear, friendly manner on the phone and in writing, and patience when a conversation gets tricky
It’s a bonus if you have
- Experience with invoicing, billing, payments or financial services
- Some knowledge of the motor trade
- Confident speaking Spanish or German, enough to handle a support call in either language
Don’t tick every box? Apply anyway. We’ll train you on our product, our partners and how everything fits together.
What you'll get from us...
- Basic salary of £26,500-£28,500 depending on experience
- A monthly performance bonus of around £250 when you hit your targets
- 37.5 hours a week on a rota, covering our opening hours of 8.30am to 6pm on weekdays and 9am to 5pm on Saturdays
- Hybrid working - 3 days a week in the office/ 2 days working from home (after probation)
- Private Healthcare and cash plan
- We give 26 days holiday + bank holidays, plus volunteer days throughout the year (pro-rated)
- Tax-saving Salary Sacrifice Pension with Aviva

- If and when the time comes, we will give 4 months paid leave to primary carers, and 1 month of paid leave to secondary carers
Perks are nice, but we know perks don’t make up the whole package of a great job. By joining our Bumper team, you'll have the opportunity to be an ambassador for our product & brand, and help us to continue on our winning streak!
You’ll need the permanent right to work in the UK, as we can’t offer visa sponsorship for this role.
