As a Business Development Manager, you’re not just developing new business and growing key accounts. You’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by building lasting relationships that drive revenue and make the stay for every guest.
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
- Drive business development and prospecting: Research, identify, and qualify new accounts through proactive outreach, database mining, networking, referrals, and industry relationships to build a strong sales pipeline and achieve revenue goals.
- Execute outside sales and market coverage: Maintain an active presence in assigned markets through client visits, sales calls, networking events, trade shows, and local business partnerships to increase hotel visibility and generate new opportunities.
- Develop midweek group business: Target corporate, association, government, and other group segments with a focus on generating need-period and midweek room revenue, meeting-space demand, and food-and-beverage contribution.
- Grow catering and event sales: Prospect and secure social, corporate, and local catering business by developing customized proposals, conducting site visits, negotiating agreements, and partnering with hotel teams to deliver successful events.
