We are looking for a Database Administrator with experience in IBM i / OS400 environments to join our IT team.
Key Responsibilities
- Administration, monitoring, performance tuning, backup and recovery of DB2 databases.
- Database architecture, data modeling, DDL changes and impact analysis.
- Management of database structures, metadata, authorizations, data dictionaries and technical documentation.
- Administration and maintenance of database and data management tools.
- Management of data updates, data masking, data migrations and population of lower environments using anonymized data.
- Database performance and health monitoring, incident identification and troubleshooting.
- Implementation and management of database and tool changes.
- Management of software version control using PTC / MKS.
- Collaboration with application and development teams to optimize database performance and support new requirements.
Required Technical Skills
- DB2 / IBM i (AS400 / OS400)
- COBOL, CLP and RPG
- Excel, VBA and Macros
- IBM i Access Client Solutions (ACS)
- SAP PowerDesigner
- Alteryx and Qlik Sense
- PTC / MKS
Profile
- Experience as a Database Administrator, preferably in IBM i / AS400 environments.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with database performance, data management and change control.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical and application teams.
