We are currently recruiting for a Head to join our Transport Team in our HQ, located in DAFZA, Dubai Airport Free Zone.
Scope
Head- Transport is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the group-wide Logistics functions comprising passenger transportation, fleet and compliance and in-house maintenance
Management of the transportation operation, ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement of TG staff. This involves strategic planning, optimizing transportation processes, managing the transportation team, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements to operate within the budgeted cost per head.
Responsible for overseeing the management, maintenance, and operation of the company’s vehicle fleet, ensuring that the fleet is operating efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulations. Also responsible for developing strategic plans for fleet utilization, optimizing fleet operations, and leading the fleet management team to achieve organizational goals and manage the group-wide fuel utilisation and consumption.
Responsibilities
Financial
- Develop and manage the transport and fleet budget and P&L overall performance against groupwide targets.
- Develop and manage the maintenance workshop budget and P&L to achieve the revenue growth and overall profitability of the BU.
- Develop and manage the P&L for reselling of fleet to private clients
- Overall accountability for the groupwide budget of +110M PA across the BU and sub business units.
Customer
- Deliver exceptional service to the passenger transportation customers and internal BU’s, Aviation, Cash, TGSS, CS, FM, and all other ad hoc clients across TG to deliver our staff on time as per the plan.
- Deliver exceptional service to the internal BU’s, cash, transport and K9 for all preventative and reactive maintenance and repairs to ensure operational continuity and overall control the costs.
- Support the BU in all fleet management requirements including the management of the driver performance and overall contractual obligations of the lease. Provide guidance to the BU and propose solutions during the replacement phase.
Process
- Accountable for the full QMS process management of the logistics division BU’s including transport and fleet, workshop, and the delivery business unit.
- Responsible for the management of all BU and sub-BU SOPs in line with corporate governance to ensure we maintain high standards and compliance in line with the business standards.
- Responsible for the analysis of the processes within the sub-BUs to remove nonvalue add activity, streamline, and bring industry standard best practices to the division.
Innovation
- Responsible for the modernization of the logistics division including fleet and technology ranging from but not limited to vehicle telematics, routing and scheduling software, delivery execution software and end to end client management dashboards to improve our overall service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for digitising the logistics division.
- Responsible for exploration of new and alternative vehicle technologies including hybrid, electric and alternative fuel sources like hydrogen and LNG/CNG.
Selection Criteria
- Minimum of 20 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale logistics operations and leading cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent strategic planning and organizational abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles, practices, and technologies.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and data analytics tools.
