Veo · Copenhagen Office · onsite

Veo is a global leader in AI-based sports camera technology. Our innovative, fully automatic camera solution enables sports teams to record matches and training sessions without a camera operator. We’re democratizing the world of sports by granting video analysis for teams on all levels—a privilege that used to be only for the few. More than 40,000 clubs in 90+ countries record their games every week.

But what truly sets us apart? Our people. We’re a diverse group of innovative thinkers, creators, and problem-solvers who believe in delivering an incredible product—and having fun while doing it.

The Opportunity

Veo's Revenue Platform is the engine that drives the business. Each subscription, order, invoice, payment and shipment passes through the platform that our team built. We are looking for a senior engineer to help take it to the next level.

The team owns the core revenue engine that sits between Veo's products and the systems that run the business: billing, payments, CRM, ERP and fulfillment. Other teams use our APIs to sell, quote, bill and provision. Finance relies on us to get the numbers right.

The foundations are in place. The next chapter is about making the platform more robust, easier to build on, and ready for new markets, products and pricing models. You'll model subscription lifecycles, amendments, quotes, tax and payment flows. You'll make workflows stay correct when a third-party API fails halfway through an order. You'll also work closely with Finance, Sales and Product so the business logic in code matches how the business actually works.

What You Will Do:

- Evolve and scale backend services in Rust that process real revenue: orders, subscriptions, invoicing, payments and provisioning.

- Strengthen our Temporal workflows so they are reliable, idempotent and safe to change, through versioning and replay.

- Shape the Revenue Platform API into a clear, OpenAPI-first product that internal teams can adopt with confidence.

- Improve our integrations with billing, payment, CRM, ERP and logistics providers, and handle their failure modes properly.

- Turn ambiguous commercial requirements (pricing changes, new markets, new payment methods) into correct, well-documented business logic.

- Own what you ship in production: observability, alerting, incident response, and data migrations that touch thousands of customer accounts.

- Incorporate modern AI development tools into your workflow to iterate quickly and build thoughtful software solutions.

- Set technical direction for the platform's next phase, and raise the bar through design reviews, code reviews and testing.

What You Could Bring:

- 5+ years as a software engineer, with significant backend experience.

- Backend experience using Python, Rust, or another comparable language. Rust in production is ideal, but we'll also consider strong backend engineers who have built real things in Rust and want to go deeper.

- Experience in revenue-critical domains is a plus: billing, subscriptions, payments, e-commerce, or financial systems.

- Strong API design skills, and experience integrating with third-party APIs that don't always behave.

- Experience building distributed systems where correctness under failure matters.

- The judgement to make architectural calls and to improve a live system without stopping the business.

- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams. You've worked closely with product managers, designers, finance, data and commercial stakeholders, and you're comfortable bringing them along on technical trade-offs.

- A product-oriented mindset. You care about the outcome, not just the code. You ask why before how, and you treat the platform's API and its internal users with the same care as an external product.

- Curiosity about modern AI development tools and how they can support everyday engineering workflows.

- Fluent English, written and spoken.
