Your responsibility as a Program Manager will be leading a team of 14-20 Direct Support professionals and individuals in providing exceptional care. Some of the additional functions of this position are:
- Ensure all program supports and services are delivered.
- Ensure all program staff maintains expected levels of participation in program operations.
- Provide on the job training and modeling for all employees and direct the activities of employees.
- Conduct Employee Performance Evaluations for program support staff during assigned time frames.
- Ensure that DHSP goals and objectives are followed and required documentation exists for each goal area.
- Communicate effectively with Program Director and Assistant Director, Residential Clinical staff, and DDS Service Coordinators to assure that all support needed are available to each client’s area of interest and/or need.
- Evaluate the unique support needs not included within the DHSP process and utilize all resources to address these needs.
- Ensure daily activity schedule is adhered to and that the chosen activities correspond to DHSP objectives.
- Ensure staff decisions are based upon consumer choice and empowerment.
- Assist individuals in the hiring and evaluation of program staff
- Monitor health care needs of individuals served in coordination with the Health Care Supervisor to assure that delivery of these services occurs in a timely fashion.
- Ensure that support remains flexible and responsive to client needs/interests.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
- Associates degree in Human Services related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three years’ experience in day program setting.
- Demonstrated history of quality work performance and teamwork in previous positions
- Proven Leadership skills
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Maintenance of an acceptable CORI and fingerprinting
- Valid Driver’s license
- Negative drug screen
- Use of personal vehicle for work purposes
- Commitment to the philosophy of community inclusion
