Cloud Engineer
Broadmeadows Location | October 2026 - April 2027 | $750 per day + Super
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join a leading organisation on a long-term contract through to April 2027. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the design, implementation and optimisation of enterprise cloud environments while supporting critical digital transformation initiatives.
Based in Broadmeadows, you'll work within a collaborative technology team delivering secure, scalable and high-performing cloud solutions.
About the Role
As the Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for the architecture, implementation and ongoing management of cloud infrastructure and services. You will work across cloud strategy, automation, infrastructure, security and continuous improvement, ensuring environments remain reliable, resilient and cost-effective.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing secure, scalable cloud solutions
- Managing cloud infrastructure, networking, storage and platform services
- Developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform
- Supporting CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Optimising cloud performance, availability and resilience
- Contributing to cloud governance, security and compliance frameworks
- Leading troubleshooting, incident resolution and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, vendors and project teams to deliver successful outcomes
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in cloud engineering and enterprise cloud environments
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation and DevOps practices
- Experience working across multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments
- Knowledge of cloud security, networking and modern cloud-native architectures
- Experience with containers and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across technical and business teams
