ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a financial services litigation team handling complex disputes and regulatory matters for financial institutions and related businesses. This mid-level associate role offers hands-on responsibility across cases in state and federal courts and arbitration.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage complex commercial and financial services litigation from pre-suit investigation through pleadings, discovery, trial preparation, and appeals.
- Draft and argue motions, briefs, and memoranda in federal and state courts, and prepare arbitration submissions.
- Conduct and defend fact and expert witness depositions in high-stakes disputes.
- Oversee large-scale document review and e-discovery matters.
- Advise financial institution clients on litigation strategy, risk assessment, and regulatory exposure.
- Work with partners on case strategy and client relationships.
- Research regulatory and common-law issues involving consumer finance, enforcement defense, broker-dealer disputes, fintech, and digital assets.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Five to seven years of financial services litigation experience, with experience handling matters through multiple phases of litigation.
- Experience representing financial services participants such as banks, broker-dealers, investment advisers, asset managers, or fintech businesses.
- Active New York bar membership in good standing.
- Familiarity with SEC, FINRA, CFPB, and OCC matters, as well as e-discovery and large-scale document review.
- Experience with legal research and case management tools such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, Relativity, PACER, and Microsoft Office.
- Prior experience at a large or comparable law firm is preferred.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary is $250,000 to $280,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Hybrid work arrangement in New York, New York.
