ABOUT THE ROLE
Join the platform team at an AI/ML company to build the backend systems that support customer-facing agent products and research workflows. You will help make agent services reliable, scalable, and secure while collaborating with product and research teams.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design and maintain cloud infrastructure, storage, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and security for research and product environments.
- Build internal developer tools, automation, and shared libraries that improve engineering productivity.
- Develop reliable systems for data management, model experimentation, evaluation, and deployment across research and production.
- Define and improve build, test, and release workflows from prototype through production.
- Monitor service and pipeline performance, diagnose bottlenecks, and improve reproducibility.
- Contribute to platform architecture and infrastructure strategy as systems scale.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Five to twelve years of backend or platform engineering experience, including senior or staff-level individual-contributor work and daily coding.
- Experience building a customer-facing product platform from the ground up, ideally for LLM or agent workloads.
- Strong backend fundamentals in Python or Go, APIs, databases and storage, and distributed systems.
- Working experience with Kubernetes and a major cloud platform such as AWS or Google Cloud.
- Production experience with LLM or agent serving, orchestration, memory, tool use, or evaluations.
- Experience spanning large technology organizations and startups or research environments, with ownership of complete systems.
- Familiarity with data pipelines, job scheduling, or ML experimentation workflows, and a strong technical or STEM background.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary: $200,000 to $300,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
