Location:

Dover, Delaware. This role offers significant Hybrid-work flexibility for an attorney who lives in Delaware or the surrounding area. Because the position includes Delaware court hearings, depositions, and other in-person litigation responsibilities, candidates must be able to appear in Delaware as needed.

Note:

Active admission to the Delaware Bar is required. We are particularly interested in attorneys with 3+ years of experience, but we will consider Delaware-barred attorneys with less experience who demonstrate strong motivation, sound judgment, and a genuine desire to develop as litigators.

Job Description

- Manage personal injury and workers' compensation matters while developing effective case strategies

- Work directly with clients and guide them through the litigation and claims process

- Handle discovery, legal research, pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other case-related work

- Prepare for and participate in depositions, court hearings, negotiations, and other litigation proceedings

- Evaluate case facts, liability, damages, medical evidence, and settlement opportunities

- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to move cases efficiently toward successful resolution

- Develop your courtroom, litigation, negotiation, and client-management skills through meaningful hands-on experience

- Take increasing ownership of cases as your experience and capabilities grow

Qualifications

- Active Delaware Bar admission required

- 3+ years of legal experience preferred, although strong Delaware-barred attorneys with less experience will be considered

- Litigation, personal injury, workers' compensation, plaintiff-side, insurance defense, or related civil litigation experience is helpful

- Strong legal writing, research, communication, and analytical skills

- Comfortable working directly with clients and assuming responsibility for cases

- Motivated to learn, litigate, and grow with a developing practice

- Must live in Delaware or the surrounding area and be available for Delaware court hearings, depositions, and other in-person proceedings
