Join Onyx Security and help build the control plane for autonomous AI in a fast-moving, high-impact environment. Onyx is building the control layer that enables enterprises to safely adopt and scale AI agents across the organization, with the visibility, governance, and operational control needed to understand what agents exist, what they do, how they behave, and what risks they introduce.
About the role
Onyx is looking for a Product Designer to help shape the experience and visual language of our AI security platform. You will work closely with Product and Engineering to design complex workflows and turn technical challenges into intuitive, polished product experiences.
We’re looking for someone with exceptional product taste, strong attention to detail, and a high bar for craft. Someone who is curious, learns quickly, takes ownership, and is constantly looking to improve their work. This is a hands-on role with significant influence over how our product looks, feels, and evolves as we scale.
What you will do
- Own product design from early concepts and user flows through high-fidelity designs and shipped experiences.
- Design intuitive experiences for complex technical workflows, data, and enterprise use cases.
- Work closely with Product and Engineering throughout the product development process, from problem definition to implementation.
- Create and evolve our design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and a high-quality experience across the product.
- Translate complex requirements into simple, clear, and thoughtful user experiences.
- Maintain an exceptionally high bar for visual quality, interaction design, and attention to detail.
- Use prototyping, AI tools, and emerging design technologies to explore ideas and accelerate the design process.
- Review implemented experiences and work closely with Engineering to ensure the final product reflects the intended design.
- Continuously learn, experiment, and bring new ideas and design practices into the team.
- Contribute to the overall product experience and design culture at Onyx.
RequirementsWhat you will bring
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Designer.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional product design, visual craft, and product thinking - a portfolio is a must.
- Proven experience designing complex products, systems, or workflows.
- Strong product and visual design skills, with excellent taste and attention to the smallest details.
- Experience creating, maintaining, and evolving design systems.
- Strong proficiency with modern product design and prototyping tools.
- Ability to take ownership of projects and drive them independently from concept through execution.
- Ability to learn quickly, teach yourself new skills, and adapt to new technologies and challenges.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with Product and Engineering.
- A team-first mindset and a willingness to give and receive thoughtful feedback.
- High level of drive, curiosity, and passion for building exceptional products.
Nice to Have
- Experience designing cybersecurity, developer, infrastructure, data, or other highly technical products.
- Experience working in an early-stage or high-growth startup.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools as part of the product design workflow.
- Experience with vibe coding or using AI-assisted development tools to prototype and bring design concepts to life.
- Experience designing AI-powered products or experiences.
