Step into a key role supporting the stability, security and continuous improvement of Equity Trustees' technology environment. This position plays an important part in ensuring our people have reliable, secure and modern technology services while contributing to several strategic cloud, security and AI initiatives.
Reporting to the Team Leader, IT Infrastructure, this role sits within the Technology team and works closely with internal stakeholders, vendors and technology partners. It is a hands-on position combining business-as-usual infrastructure support with project delivery across cloud, cybersecurity and workplace technologies.
As Senior Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and supporting EQT's infrastructure and cloud environment, ensuring systems remain secure, available and fit for purpose. You'll work across Microsoft technologies, identity and access management, security initiatives and automation, while helping to deliver technology improvements that support the broader business.
What you'll do:
- Administer and support Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and Windows Server environments.
- Manage Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID and identity-related technologies.
- Support enterprise networking, firewall and security platforms.
- Lead vulnerability remediation, patching and security uplift activities.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues.
- Contribute to cloud transformation, cybersecurity and AI-related projects.
- Maintain technical documentation and promote knowledge sharing across the team.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver technology outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across systems and processes.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Significant experience in a Systems Administrator or Senior Systems Administrator role.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 technologies.
- Experience administering Windows Server, Active Directory and Entra ID.
- Solid understanding of infrastructure, networking and cybersecurity principles.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability.
- Ability to build trusted relationships and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and service excellence.
