ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a customer data and marketing technology team building a no-code product that helps users activate data directly from their warehouses. As a senior backend engineer, you will shape product direction and build reliable, scalable systems for a growing product area.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design and improve backend systems for warehouse query performance, including query optimization and precomputed state.
- Build analytics and experimentation capabilities that help customers create audiences, choose data to sync, and measure outcomes.
- Explore real-time audience computation and syncing as data warehouses adopt change data capture and other real-time technologies.
- Investigate ways generative AI can make customer workflows for acting on data more seamless.
- Collaborate on product specifications and incorporate customer feedback into system and product decisions.
- Make architectural decisions that support scalability, maintainability, and reliability.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Six to fifteen years of backend engineering experience, including substantial experience designing and building backend systems at high-growth startups.
- Experience at staff level or above, with a record of taking on increasing responsibility and progressing in your career.
- Strong backend and distributed systems fundamentals, with a modern technology background.
- A track record of building with users in mind, engaging with customers, and iterating based on feedback.
- Strong communication skills, product judgment, and an interest in writing and discussing product specifications.
- A degree in computer science, mathematics, or electrical engineering, or equivalent strong technical fundamentals.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary range: $180,000 to $320,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
