Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE
Join an AI team building software for designing physical systems. You will help accelerate product development, first by strengthening the frontend and then by taking on broader backend-focused full stack work.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Work with the frontend engineer to improve the product interface and speed delivery to production.
- Build and own features end to end, from architecture through deployment and reliability.
- Expand into backend, infrastructure, and systems development as the product evolves.
- Establish effective practices for AI coding agent-assisted development.
- Partner with engineering, research, and customer-facing teams to prototype and improve product ideas.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Three to ten years of software engineering experience, including startup experience.
- Strong backend-focused full stack web development skills, with solid frontend capabilities.
- Experience taking products or substantial features from concept through production, with ownership of architecture, deployment, and reliability.
- Experience with React, TypeScript, and .NET, and enthusiasm for using AI coding agents in day-to-day development.
- Interest in physical systems, engineering design, CAD, or simulation.
- Based in the United States or Canada and able to work there without visa sponsorship.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary: $200,000 to $275,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
LOCATION
Hybrid, with the primary location in Canada. The role requires spending one week onsite in San Mateo, California, every six weeks.
