Job Description

Visa’s Post-Purchase team is looking for a hands-on, strategic Senior Product Manager / Product Builder to help build and scale the next generation of dispute management capabilities, with a particular focus on developing a new acquirer-focused proposition from 0→1.

This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, payments and disputes, data and integrations, AI, and go-to-market execution. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Business, Sales, Operations, and regional teams to identify customer needs, define differentiated solutions, bring new products to market, and scale them across customers and markets.

The ideal candidate combines strong product judgment, technical depth, commercial orientation, and exceptional communication skills. You should be equally comfortable speaking with customers and business leaders, analyzing competitors and market opportunities, defining product requirements, and working with engineers and architects on complex data and integration needs.

This is a builder role for someone who thrives in ambiguity and can take an opportunity from customer problem → product proposition → MVP → commercialization → scale.

What You’ll Do

Product Strategy & 0→1 Product Development

- Help define and build Visa’s acquirer-focused dispute management proposition, taking new capabilities from concept through validation, development, launch, and scale.

- Develop a deep understanding of the needs of acquirers, merchants, dispute operations teams, and other participants in the dispute ecosystem.

- Translate customer problems and market opportunities into clear product propositions, capabilities, requirements, and roadmaps.

- Develop and test hypotheses, prototypes, and MVPs to validate new product concepts.

- Balance near-term customer opportunities with development of scalable, repeatable product capabilities.

- Define success metrics and use customer feedback and data to continuously improve the product.

Go-to-Market & Commercialization

- Partner closely with Business, Sales, Commercialization, and regional teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies.

- Define compelling value propositions, positioning, target segments, use cases, and customer narratives.

- Translate complex product and technical capabilities into clear, simple messaging for customers, sellers, executives, and partners.

- Develop product narratives, solution materials, demos, and sales enablement content.

- Participate in customer and prospect conversations to understand needs, articulate the solution, and convert market feedback into scalable product opportunities.

- Connect product strategy with commercial execution to help move opportunities from concept to customer adoption.

Market & Competitive Intelligence

- Build a strong understanding of the dispute management, chargeback, acquiring, merchant services, and payments technology landscape.

- Conduct structured competitive analysis across product capabilities, customer experience, integration models, business models, positioning, and target segments.

- Identify market trends, competitive gaps, and opportunities for differentiation.

- Translate competitive and market insights into recommendations for product strategy, roadmap, positioning, and GTM.

- Clearly articulate where Visa’s capabilities are differentiated and where further product investment is needed.

Data & Integration Strategy

- Define the data and integration requirements necessary to support scalable dispute management solutions for acquirers, merchants, processors, and ecosystem partners.

- Understand the types of data required to power dispute workflows, automation, decisioning, and customer experiences.

- Partner with Engineering and Architecture to define scalable integration patterns across APIs, batch/file integrations, webhooks, event-driven architectures, and third-party platforms.

- Define requirements for data ingestion, normalization, mapping, matching, validation, quality, monitoring, and exception handling.

- Understand and evaluate trade-offs across customer implementation effort, scalability, latency, reliability, security, and maintainability.

- Help create repeatable integration models that reduce the effort required to onboard new customers and data sources.

AI-Driven Innovation

- Identify practical opportunities to apply AI across dispute management, data integration, decision support, and workflow automation.

- Partner with Engineering and Data Science to evaluate capabilities such as intelligent data mapping, automated onboarding, anomaly detection, workflow automation, and decision support.

- Apply a pragmatic approach to AI, prioritizing measurable customer and business outcomes.

- Leverage modern AI-assisted tools for rapid product discovery, prototyping, requirements development, and solution validation.

Cross-Functional Leadership

- Work effectively across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Design, Business, Sales, Commercialization, Operations, and regional teams.

- Serve as a bridge between customer needs, commercial strategy, and technical execution.

- Drive alignment across stakeholders with different priorities and levels of technical expertise.

- Communicate complex product and technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Influence without authority and drive outcomes in a complex, global organization.

- Ability to translate customer and business needs into detailed product, technical, and data requirements.

- Able to operate credibly with engineers and architects without needing to be the engineer implementing the solution.

Execution & Ownership

- Highly proactive, hands-on, and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
