Cybersecurity Engineer Intern (f/m/d)

What you will do:
- Monitor networks, systems, and applications for security breaches or intrusions using dedicated security tools and platforms
- Support the detection, analysis, and response to security incidents, including post-incident investigations and reporting
- Conduct preliminary analysis of security alerts and help assess their potential impact on the organization
- Assist in identifying, tracking, and remediating vulnerabilities across our infrastructure
- Help deploy, configure, and maintain security tools such as firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, threat intelligence, and phishing simulation/awareness solutions from the Azure security stack
- Maintain clear documentation of security incidents, procedures, and processes, and collaborate with IT and other teams to ensure compliance with security policies
What you bring & who you are:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- A basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, networking, firewalls, and security protocols
- Familiarity with incident response processes, common operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud environments
- Strong communicator and team-oriented mindset, with eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges
- Good knowledge of English, with a desire to improve it – German or Spanish is a plus
- Ideally, you have scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) or knowledge of cloud security principles (Azure, AWS, GCP) – even if you don't meet every point, we look forward to your application
