HSE Officer - Freelance (m/f/d)

Your mission
We are looking for an experienced HSE & Integrated Management Systems (IMS) specialist to support our Berlin operations on a freelance basis for the duration of 3 months with potential extention, depending on project requirements.
We are seeking someone with strong knowledge of German occupational health and safety legislation, practical experience implementing ISO management systems, and excellent communication skills in both German and English.
Key responsibilities will include:- Support the implementation and integration of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 within German operations.
- Ensure HSE procedures and documentation comply with applicable German legislation, including ArbSchG, BetrSichV and DGUV requirements.
- Review and develop risk assessments (Gefährdungsbeurteilungen), Safe Work Plans and HSE procedures.
- Review and adapt global IMS documentation to meet German legal requirements.
- Support HSE compliance audits, inspections and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with the Global HSE Manager and Berlin project teams.
Your profile
- Strong knowledge of German HSE legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Experience in construction, technical installations, fit-out, events or related industries preferred.
- Fluent German (C1/C2) and English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work independently from our Berlin office.
- Available to start immediately.
