Structural Designer – Tekla Structures (Design)

Role Overview
We are looking for a Structural Designer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in structural steel
detailing and 3D modelling within the Oil & Gas industry. Offshore project experience will be highly
preferred.
The candidate must demonstrate advanced proficiency in Tekla Structures and be capable of
independently developing accurate structural models, fabrication drawings and material take-offs in
accordance with project specifications.
Key Requirements
l Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related technical
discipline.
l Minimum 3 years of experience in structural steel modelling and detailing for Oil & Gas projects.
l Advanced proficiency in Tekla Structures, including 3D modelling, connection detailing and drawing
generation.
l Experience in modelling pipe racks, equipment platforms, access platforms, stairways, ladders,
handrails, gratings and offshore steel structures.
l Ability to prepare General Arrangement Drawings (GAD), fabrication drawings, assembly drawings and
erection drawings.
l Strong understanding of steel connections, bolted and welded joints, base plates, stiffeners and
structural detailing requirements.
l Familiarity with ADNOC specifications, AISC standards, ASTM materials and applicable fabrication
requirements.
l Experience in generating Bills of Materials (BOM), Material Take-Offs (MTO) and cutting lists.
l Ability to interpret structural calculation reports and engineering design drawings.
l Experience in clash detection and multidisciplinary coordination with piping and mechanical teams.
l Knowledge of AutoCAD.
l Strong attention to detail, drawing accuracy and fabrication feasibility.
