The Project Engineer is responsible for managing and coordinating the engineering and technical aspects of construction and infrastructure projects. The role ensures projects are executed according to design specifications, quality standards, budgets, and schedules while optimizing resources and supporting project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage and coordinate engineering and technical activities throughout project execution.
- Ensure project activities comply with approved designs, specifications, codes, and standards.
- Assist in the preparation and review of project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to management and project stakeholders.
- Review engineering drawings, technical documents, and project specifications.
- Identify engineering challenges and provide technical recommendations and solutions.
- Support project teams in resolving technical and operational issues.
- Review and advise on engineering modifications and corrective actions when required.
- Manage and optimize the utilization of manpower, materials, equipment, and other project resources.
- Monitor material requirements and coordinate procurement activities to prevent project delays.
- Ensure efficient allocation of resources to meet project objectives and timelines.
- Conduct site inspections and quality control activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Verify completed work meets contractual, safety, and quality requirements.
- Identify non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, engineering practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, technical reports, progress reports, and engineering records.
- Track project performance, milestones, and deliverables.
- Maintain accurate documentation of project changes, approvals, and technical correspondence.
- Support project close-out activities and submission of final project documentation.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
- 3-7 years of relevant experience in construction, infrastructure, industrial, or engineering project environments.
- Experience in project coordination, technical supervision, and site operations is preferred.
