Reports to: Field Supervisor / Project Manager

Compensation Range: $17.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications

What We Are Looking For

Ceres Environmental Services is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Fuel & Equipment Support Technician to support temporary disaster recovery operations in Mobile, Alabama. This position plays an important role in keeping trucks, heavy equipment, and other project machinery fueled, inspected, and ready for daily operations.

The technician will assist field operations by fueling equipment, checking fluid levels, greasing machinery, inspecting equipment cameras, and reporting maintenance or safety concerns. Additional responsibilities include equipment cleanup, organizing supplies, documenting equipment status, and helping maintain an orderly and safe work environment.

This is a temporary, project-based position supporting disaster recovery rather than forestry or routine tree service operations. The role does not include supervisory responsibilities. Success requires a strong safety mindset, attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

What You Will Do

Fuel trucks, heavy equipment, and other machinery supporting disaster recovery and debris removal operations.

Check and top off fluid levels, including engine oil and coolant, in accordance with equipment requirements and established procedures.

Grease equipment and perform basic preventive maintenance checks to support safe and reliable operation.

Inspect equipment cameras and related components to ensure they are clean, visible, and functioning properly.

Identify and promptly report equipment defects, leaks, damage, and other maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor or maintenance personnel.

Assist with maintaining clean, organized, and safe equipment staging areas, yards, and project locations.

Remove debris, organize tools and supplies, and perform general cleanup duties to support efficient field operations.

Complete fueling logs, equipment inspection records, and other required documentation accurately.

Follow company safety procedures and applicable requirements for fuel handling, equipment operation, personal protective equipment, and hazardous material awareness.

Perform other related duties as assigned to support project operations and disaster recovery efforts.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid driver's license and ability to meet applicable company driving requirements.
