Job Description:
Maintenance is responsible for providing day-to-day maintenance support for the manufacturing facility, coordinating maintenance priorities, and installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC and manual machinery, facility systems, and physical structures. This position supports safe operations, equipment reliability, and maximum machine uptime.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain organization of the maintenance department
- Respond to repair requests in a timely manner.
- Establish and execute preventative maintenance schedules on CNC equipment, air compressors, manual equipment, fork trucks, etc.
- Coordinate with vendors related to machine repair, installation, and improvement.
- Maintain accurate preventive maintenance records, repair histories, inspection documentation, equipment manuals, and vendor service records. Document completed work, recurring failures, parts used, and recommended follow-up actions.
- Manage and schedule repair services.
- Monitor critical spare parts, maintenance supplies, and replacement components; identify inventory needs; and coordinate purchasing to minimize equipment downtime.
- Operate equipment such as fork trucks, scissor lifts, etc.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required company certifications for powered industrial vehicles, lifts, and other assigned equipment are required.
- Provide plant maintenance that may require knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, CNC machines, grinding equipment and other various machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using schematics, manuals, diagnostic tools, and sound root-cause analysis. Identify recurring equipment failures and recommend corrective actions or reliability improvements.
- Follow and promote all applicable safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements, machine guarding, electrical safety, powered industrial truck practices, fall protection, and the proper use of personal protective equipment. Immediately report and help correct unsafe conditions.
- Must be available for occasional after-hours support, including evenings or weekends, when needed to address urgent equipment issues, support second-shift operations, and maintain equipment uptime. The position may require schedule flexibility based on production and maintenance needs.

Competencies, Qualifications, Education/Experience Requirements:
- 5 + years of relevant maintenance experience in manufacturing or tool and die shop environment required.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read, interpret, and use electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics, prints, and equipment manuals to troubleshoot and repair machinery.
- Must have interpersonal and relationship skills to effectively collaborate with all levels across the organization as well as vendors.
- Willingness and ability to work on multiple projects at one time.
- Self-starter, able to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplined team.
- Ability to prioritize for machine up-time.
- Move with a sense of urgency and complete projects on time.
- Respond to repair requests in a timely manner and support machine up-time first.
- Strong working knowledge of lockout/tagout and other applicable industrial safety programs. Ability to identify hazardous energy sources, follow energy-control procedures, verify isolation, and safely return equipment to service.
- Ability to perform calculations used in maintenance work, including measurements, unit conversions, fractions, decimals, tolerances, distance, area, and volume.
- Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. Ability to write reports, job notes, shift notes, and other applicable correspondence. Ability to speak effectively and professionally with customers and employees.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical hazards, oils, coolants, dust, dirt, temperature variations, and moderate to loud noise. Work may be performed around operating production equipment and may require the use of company-designated personal protective equipment.
