Inventory Planning Replenishment (IPR) Manager (on-site)
The Plant Company · The Plant Company - Stuarts Draft, VA 24477
The Plant Company (TPC) is looking for an analytical, hands-on leader to manage our Inventory Replenishment Analysts and improve how we plan and order inventory for The Home Depot.
You’ll work directly with large amounts of store- and SKU-level data, identify opportunities and problems, and lead the team responsible for writing replenishment orders. Under our Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and Pay-by-Scan (PBS) programs, TPC carries the inventory risk. Your team’s decisions about what to order, how much, and when directly affect sales, waste, and profitability.
What You’ll Do
-
Analyze Home Depot sales and inventory data and lead accurate, timely replenishment orders by store and SKU.
-
Coach and develop analysts, set priorities, review ordering decisions, and work alongside the team to solve complex problems.
-
Maintain a rolling 3–4-week forecast, continually comparing production and product availability with customer demand.
-
Build base-, best-, and worst-case plans for promotions, seasonal programs, and special events.
-
Connect Home Depot Sales, Operations, and Transportation to align orders, availability, and deliveries. Use data to challenge requests that could hurt inventory performance or profitability.
-
Identify missed sales opportunities, excess inventory, and supply gaps; recommend solutions and follow through.
-
Improve reporting, ERP data accuracy, ordering methods, and team processes.
What Success Looks Like
Your impact will show through stronger sell-through and profitability, more accurate forecasts, fewer missed sales, and less excess inventory and waste—supported by a capable team making sound, timely decisions.
