INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer responsible for designing, administering, and optimizing database environments that support critical business applications. You will play a key role in ensuring data integrity, performance, availability, and reliability, while collaborating closely with development, operations, and security teams to continuously improve business processes and database platforms.
What You Will Do on a Daily Basis
- Design, implement, and maintain database solutions to support business-critical systems.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, availability, and reliability across production environments.
- Develop and enhance SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support data processing and reporting needs.
- Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies, ensuring compliance with defined data protection requirements.
- Provide technical support during incident resolution, perform root cause analysis, and contribute to post-mortem reviews.
- Collaborate with development and operational teams to improve business process outcomes and database efficiency.
- Manage and administer complex Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments.
- Evaluate and deploy innovative solutions to automate processes, optimize costs, and improve platform performance.
- Monitor database health and performance through observability and visualization tools.
Your Key Skills
- Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL administration.
- Advanced SQL development, optimization, and performance tuning skills.
- Experience with ETL development, monitoring, and optimization processes.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities.
- Knowledge of database partitioning, indexing, and optimization techniques.
- Experience with Master Data Services.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, ELK, or Zabbix.
- Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD methodologies.
Your Main Qualifications
- Proven experience managing complex database environments in enterprise contexts.
- Solid knowledge of backup, recovery, and database maintenance strategies.
- Experience supporting business-critical applications and resolving high-impact incidents.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proactive attitude with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
- Professional proficiency in Portuguese and English.
- Knowledge of Spanish is considered a plus.
