Sales Director, Private Capital Markets Valuation Platform

Position Overview:

Own new-business growth for the PCM valuation platform — selling enterprise valuation technology to private markets managers who run, or want to run, their valuation processes on a modern platform. This is an enterprise-software sales role that demands genuine domain fluency: the seller must understand how valuations are run in both credit and equity, manage multi-stakeholder software sales cycles, and know the private equity and private credit GP landscape well.

Responsibilities:

- Carry a new-ARR and expansion quota for the PCM platform — land new clients and grow platform usage within them.

- Run complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise software sales cycles — from discovery and demo through evaluation, security/procurement, commercial negotiation and close.

- Sell to valuation teams, CFOs/COOs, heads of portfolio management and technology buyers at private equity and private credit GPs.

- Translate how valuations are actually run — across credit and equity — into a platform value proposition: speed, transparency, data as an output, and scalability.

- Partner with product, product marketing and solutions/pre-sales to tailor demos and proofs-of-concept to each buyer’s workflow.

- Coordinate with advisory MDs where a platform sale opens, or is opened by, an advisory relationship — and feed qualified advisory leads back to them.

- Manage pipeline and forecast with discipline in CRM (Salesforce).

Requirements:

- A track record in enterprise software sales — ideally fintech or financial-technology platforms — carrying and hitting an ARR quota through complex sales cycles.

- Genuine understanding of how valuations are run in credit and in equity — enough to hold a credible, detailed conversation with a valuation team.

- Strong knowledge of the private equity and private credit GP landscape — the players, how they operate, and how they buy.

- Experience managing multi-stakeholder software cycles involving business, technical and procurement buyers.

- Consultative, domain-credible selling style; disciplined with pipeline, forecasting and CRM.

Sales Director, Kroll StepStone Private Credit Benchmarks

Position Overview

Own new-business and subscription growth for the Kroll StepStone Private Credit Benchmarks — one of the most comprehensive independent datasets in private credit, including deal comps and indicators such as PIK analytics. This is a data-product sales role in the mold of a benchmark, index, or market-data seller at MSCI, Preqin, PitchBook or Octus: selling recurring access to differentiated data and analytics to a sophisticated institutional buyer.

Responsibilities:

- Carry a new-business and net-revenue-retention quota for the benchmarks data product — land new subscribers and grow existing accounts.

- Sell to the data, research, portfolio-management, risk and valuation functions at GPs, LPs, private credit managers, banks and asset managers.

- Articulate the value of independent, timely, deal-level market data — and the specific use cases

(pricing, benchmarking, portfolio monitoring, market surveillance) that justify a subscription.

- Run a full subscription sales cycle: prospecting, trials/evaluations, commercial negotiation, close, renewal and expansion.

- Partner with product marketing and the data team to shape demos, trials and packaging; feed market and competitive intelligence back into the roadmap and pricing.

- Manage pipeline and forecast with discipline in CRM (Salesforce).

Requirements:

- A track record selling financial data, analytics, index or benchmark products on a subscription basis — e.g., at MSCI, Bloomberg, PitchBook, Preqin, Octus or a comparable data provider.

- Demonstrated ability to carry and hit a quota selling a recurring data/analytics product, not one-off services.

- Fluency in private markets, and ideally private credit — enough to speak credibly to how the data is used in pricing, benchmarking and risk.

- Comfort selling to institutional buyers across data, research, risk and investment functions.

- Consultative, credibility-first selling style; disciplined with pipeline, forecasting and CRM.
