We are looking for a Senior Aircraft Performance Engineer to join the Flight Physics team. You will further evolve the already existing performance evaluation framework and datasets for the Microliner aircraft. You will actively contribute to expanding the capabilities of aircraft performance codes and evaluate the aircraft’s flight and ground performance.

You will work closely with Propulsion, Systems, and Certification teams for data exchange and planning of compliance demonstration campaigns. Your work will also directly support the Commercial team for the evaluation of routes for future and current customers of the aircraft.

Your Day-to-Day:

- Conduct comprehensive simulation campaigns using in-house tools: from pre-processing and execution to post-processing, dataset management and interpretation/visualisation.

- Set-up and further development of simulation toolchains.

- Participate on activities related to aircraft design and analysis.

- Closely collaborate with your colleagues specialized in flight dynamics, loads, aeroelasticity, and aerodynamics.

- Create and maintain documentation for development and certification purposes.

- Determine the impact of real-life factors on aircraft performance.

- Ensure consistent data as part of aircraft baselining and quantify uncertainty.

- Support and participate in design reviews and customer visits

Your Profile:

- Master’s and/or PhD degree in Aerospace Engineering.

- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in aircraft performance determination, preferably within CS 23 aircraft programs operating under a DOA environment or international equivalent.

- Demonstrated expertise in the aircraft flight performance calculation, flight mechanics, aerodynamics, and propulsion.

- Proficiency in coding (Matlab or alternatively Python).

- Proficiency in PLM; Dassault’s 3DX platform is a plus.

- Previous participation in flight test campaigns is a plus.

- Proven experience across the full product development lifecycle, from conceptual and preliminary design through detailed design, verification, validation, and certification (CS 23 or CS 25).

- Solid understanding of airworthiness and certification processes.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional European languages are an asset.

- Self-driven, solution-oriented professional with strong ownership mindset and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic development environment.

- Strong personal motivation for aviation and the advancement of electric aircraft technologies.

- Experience working in an EASA Part 21J Design Organization, or international equivalent.
