ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a small AI and machine learning product team as a staff-level infrastructure engineer. You will build and operate reliable cloud infrastructure that supports AI agent workloads and user-facing products at scale.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and operate production cloud infrastructure and containerized services using infrastructure as code.
- Develop durable workflows for long-running product and AI agent tasks.
- Design, scale, and tune databases that support core product capabilities.
- Build infrastructure for AI and machine learning workloads, including model routing, inference, and GPU orchestration.
- Partner with product and engineering colleagues to deliver dependable platform capabilities and improve them in production.
- Use AI coding tools as part of your daily engineering workflow.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Four to ten years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or backend engineering, with a record of increasing responsibility and progression beyond senior-level scope.
- Production experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform or CDK, Docker, and a major cloud provider such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Hands-on experience operating Temporal or a comparable durable workflow orchestration system in production.
- Experience running cloud infrastructure for a product with more than one million users.
- Strong production database skills, including schema design, scaling, and performance tuning; relevant technologies include Postgres, Redis, and ClickHouse.
- Startup experience or a combination of big technology company and startup experience.
- Daily use of AI coding tools and the ability to explain how they fit into your workflow.
- Experience building infrastructure for AI agents or machine learning workloads is valuable.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary: $200,000 to $300,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
