Marketing Operations Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Hussey Seating Company is seeking a highly organized, strategic, and execution-focused Marketing Operations Manager to standardize key Marketing functions and build the systems, processes, and programs needed for continued growth. This newly created role is an integral part of the Marketing team and a member of the Operational Leadership Team. The Marketing Operations Manager will contribute to strategy and build the foundation needed to expand work across market activation and product commercialization, samples, visual assets, sales and dealer enablement, designated training programs, state purchasing contracts, events, and other dealer- and customer-facing initiatives. Working closely with the Marketing team, Sales, IS/IT, and cross-functional teams, the role will turn Marketing strategy into coordinated, repeatable execution.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Standardized Processes and Tools: Partner with the VP Marketing and Marketing team to strengthen key Marketing functions and support scalable growth through standardized processes and tools, including clear workflows, SOPs, calendars, documentation, shared resources, and continuous improvement.

- Trusted Relationships: Build trusted relationships across Marketing, Product Management, Sales, Samples, Finance, Engineering, Purchasing, IT/IS, Manufacturing, the dealer network, and other functions to coordinate priorities and strengthen the dealer and customer experience.

- Events and Trade Shows: Lead event management and execution for National Sales Meetings, industry trade shows, regional and select sales events, recurring virtual dealer events, and other assigned dealer- and customer-facing experiences. Establish and manage timelines, budgets, communications, project plans, vendors, logistics, on-site support, and post-event follow-up, while building the infrastructure and capacity needed to support the program as it grows.

- Samples and Surface Materials: Partner closely with the Samples team and cross-functional stakeholders to improve request intake, prioritization, inventory visibility, tracking, communications, documentation, service expectations, and fulfillment while preserving the specialized knowledge and judgment required for unique or urgent requests.

- State Purchasing Contracts: Lead development, submission, and administration of state and cooperative purchasing contracts in partnership with Marketing and Finance. Establish and maintain contract lifecycle and compliance calendars covering key terms, renewals, expirations, reporting requirements, and SOPs.

- Hussey University: Lead event management for Hussey University, including program planning, registration, communications, speaker coordination, production, on-site logistics, hospitality, and participant follow-up. Contribute to agenda development; content and presentations will be provided by Marketing, Sales, and subject-matter experts.

- Hussey AIA: Manage the AIA Continuing Education Credit program, including content submission and approval, the central repository of approved presentations, registration, presenter support, logistics, documentation, and certificate follow-up. Content will be provided by Marketing in collaboration with New Product Development and other cross-functional teams.

- Media and Visual Assets: Establish and manage systems that support coordinated media planning and efficient visual asset access, including a central calendar for commitments, deadlines, renewals, budgets, and deliverables and an accessible inventory of approved project, product, and brand imagery.

- Administrative Support: Direct and coordinate administrative support for execution details across Samples, events, trade shows, Hussey University, and AIA programs.

- Perform additional duties as assigned. Responsibilities will evolve as the Marketing function and business continue to grow.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Operations, Event Management, or a related field.

- 10+ years of experience in marketing operations, marketing project management, events, commercial operations, program management, or a related discipline.

- Experience with events, training programs, contract administration, compliance processes, CRM, marketing automation, project management, inventory management, media planning, creative workflows, or digital asset management is preferred.

- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and contemporary business, collaboration, and project-management platforms.

- Ability and willingness to travel and provide on-site event support, as required.

- Ability to work a minimum of three days on-site in North Berwick, Maine.

- Experience supporting dealer, distributor, channel-based, manufacturing, B2B, architecture/design, education, sports and entertainment, or related markets is preferred.

Hussey Seating Company uses a market-based approach to compensation. The anticipated starting range for this position is $97,000 to $145,000 per year. Individual compensation is determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, education, certifications, internal equity, and the responsibilities of the position.
