Business Development Manager - Consulting

Oxford Economic is looking to hire an experienced sales professional to join our consulting practice. The role will involve driving relationships with new clients and scaling existing accounts across the Americas across the following set of core research services: - Providing economic impact solutions helping clients to quantify and communicate their economic contribution and value to external audiences.
- Running thought leadership studies to uncover fresh insights for both business, consumer and policy audiences covering topics ranging such as technological change, skills, globalization,
- Supporting advocacy campaigns through independent analysis of the economic implications of policy reforms.
- Using bespoke economic analysis, modeling and scenario analysis to support strategy and planning functions.
Key elements of the role include the following:- Building brand awareness of Oxford’s suite of services through new prospect outreach and engagement.
- Organizing sales trips that will be supported by senior staff members to support relationship building and brand awareness.
- Working with colleagues across the company to identify opportunities for networking across existing client relationships and accounts to build business in the Americas.
- Identifying the appropriate mix of colleagues to draw into new opportunities
- When necessary, playing a coordinating role to ensure that proposals of sufficient depth and quality are sent on time.
This role would suit someone with at least 10 years’ experience in business development. The successful candidate will be entrepreneurial, creative, organized, and driven. They should also have the following attributes.- A track-record of high-performance in business development as demonstrated by consistently being able to achieve or exceed sales targets.
- Experience in selling across Oxford’s major lines of consulting work.
- Experience of client-facing work and the ability to develop commercial relationships with potential clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to identify a client’s requirement and use case from the first conversation or RFP.
- Intellectual curiosity and an interest in understanding how economic research can help to unlock organizational success.
- A highly collaborative attitude.
