Manufacturing Engineer (CAM Programmer) – Mastercam, Multi-Axis CNC

Great Bay Staffing Group · Spartanburg, South Carolina, United States

USD 80,000 to 120,000 a year

The Opportunity

If you program multi-axis CNC in Mastercam and want to own the work from the solid model through to the finished part, this role in aerospace and defense manufacturing is built around that.

The CAM Engineer here takes engineering designs and turns them into efficient, accurate CNC programs, then stays involved through simulation, probing, tooling, and the shop floor. The work also supports lights-out manufacturing and automation initiatives, and you would be accountable for the quality and accuracy of your own CAM programs.

This is a direct-hire, full-time position in Spartanburg, SC, and it is not remote.

Why This Opportunity Is Worth a Look

- Aerospace and defense manufacturing. You would be programming for an aerospace and defense operation.

- Multi-axis CNC and CAM technology. Programming covers multi-axis machining operations, with toolpath simulation and verification before any metal gets cut.

- Lights-out and automation work. You would support automation initiatives, including lights-out manufacturing.

- Ownership from design through production. CAM programming is yours, and so is the accountability for its quality.

- Digital Twin, probing, and tooling exposure. You would develop and maintain the integrity of equipment Digital Twins, use Renishaw probing for setup conditions and pass/fail verification, and develop workholding and tooling solutions with the engineering team.

- Salary range of $80,000-$120,000, depending on experience.
