Columbia Orthopaedic Group is looking for a Physician Support team member to work closely with two of our Sports Medicine physicians and their clinical teams. This is a unique role that combines administrative support, patient coordination, and hands-on assistance in the clinic.
You’ll be an important part of keeping each clinic day running smoothly, from helping manage the details behind the scenes to welcoming and assisting patients during their visits.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:

Provide day-to-day administrative and secretarial support for two Sports Medicine physicians

Help coordinate schedules, patient needs, forms, referrals, orders, and other clinic details

Communicate with physicians, patients, and members of the care team

Enter and maintain information in the electronic medical record (EMR)

Help keep clinic workflow organized and moving efficiently

Room patients and prepare exam rooms as needed

Obtain and document vital signs and basic patient information

Assist with patient preparation and in-office procedures when needed

Provide patients with information and education as directed by the care team

Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance

Pitch in wherever needed to support the physicians, patients, and team

A high school diploma or GED is required. Previous healthcare, medical office, or clinical experience is preferred. Medical Assistant certification is welcomed but not required.
