Hardware Systems Engineer

You will translate vehicle-level requirements into clear system, hardware, and EE requirements. You will define the architecture and requirements for test benches and rigs, including HIL setups, and maintain model-based architecture, validation, traceability, and compliance processes. You will collaborate with hardware, embedded, perception, autonomy software, test, validation, lab, and QA stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Decompose and allocate vehicle-level requirements into system, hardware, and EE requirements
- Convert customer needs and Vehicle OS use cases into system and hardware requirements
- Keep requirements current as vehicle-level requirements evolve
- Define EE architecture for test benches and rigs, including HIL rigs
- Specify power distribution, wiring, harnessing, signal interfaces, instrumentation, DAQ, emulation, and safety interlocks
- Build and maintain functional and logical architecture in Cameo using MBSE and SysML
- Own system- and hardware-level requirements validation and verification
- Maintain end-to-end traceability across requirements, infrastructure definitions, and test cases
- Define processes for ASPICE Level 2 compliance and configure Polarion and Cameo
- Collaborate with engineering, test, validation, lab, and QA teams
Requirements- 3+ years of systems or hardware systems engineering experience; 5+ years preferred
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Experience deriving and allocating requirements from higher-level requirements
- Working understanding of EE systems, including power, wiring, harnessing, signal interfaces, instrumentation, and DAQ
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
