Operations Analyst

The Operations Analyst supports faster, better-informed decisions on production costs, materials, and efficiency at our Warren, PA plant, and provides analytical support for capital projects, capacity expansion, and other investments in plant operations. This role analyzes plant performance data and translates it into clear, actionable recommendations for operations and business leadership.

This is a hands-on analytical role. Data is expected to be verified against actual conditions on the production floor, not accepted at face value.

Candidates from accounting/finance, industrial engineering, or operations and business analytics backgrounds are all encouraged to apply. Strong analytical rigor and sound business judgment are essential; an MBA or equivalent business background is preferred given this role's involvement in capital and strategic decisions.

Essential Job Functions

- Analyze production costs, materials usage, throughput, and efficiency to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

- Verify plant performance data against actual floor conditions and investigate discrepancies directly.

- Develop reporting and dashboards that provide plant and operations leadership with timely visibility into performance.

- Evaluate capital projects, capacity expansion, and operational investments, including payback, ROI, and cost-benefit analysis.

- Identify efficiency improvements across materials, labor, equipment utilization, and energy/utilities usage, and build the business case for change.

- Translate plant-level performance into business terms, connecting operational metrics to company strategy and financial results.

- Coordinate with the corporate Finance/Accounting team as needed on cost and reporting matters.

- Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and commercial teams to align priorities and data.

- Recommend process, systems, or reporting improvements that support faster operational decision-making.

Required Education and Experience:

- BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related field.

- 1-3 years of experience in an analytical role, such as accounting/finance, industrial engineering, or operations/business analytics

Preferred Education and Experience:

- Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

- MBA or equivalent business background preferred.

Competencies/Skills:

- String analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP/MRP or BI/reporting systems.

- Willingness to work directly on the production floor to validate data and understand operating conditions.

- Ability to communicate analysis clearly to both plant and business leadership.

- Strong business judgment and interest in how operational performance drives company results

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

- Exempt

- Monday through Friday

- Required to work on site 100% of the time.

Travel:

- Limited travel in the Warren area

Work Environment:

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a manufacturing environment.

- Percentage of Office – 70%

- Percentage of Travel – 5%

- Percentage of Manufacturing and Distribution - 25%
