Mechanical Design Engineer

Coherent Glasgow is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop high-performance, high-reliability laser systems for scientific, industrial and medical applications.
You will work across the full product lifecycle, taking mechanical and opto-mechanical designs from early concept and prototyping through detailed design, hands-on build and verification and into volume manufacturing.
The role is primarily focused on practical mechanical design and product development, with a strong emphasis on precision engineering, opto-mechanics, manufacturability and hands-on problem solving.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering, manufacturing and supply-chain teams across Coherent's global organisation.
