As part of our continued growth, we are expanding our Australian engineering team in Brisbane. Hospitality industry experience is advantageous but not essential.

About the RoleWe are seeking a Field Engineer to join our Australian team in a full-time role based in Brisbane, with flexibility to work from home when appropriate.
This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of a growing Australian operation. You will work closely with local and UK-based colleagues to deliver high-quality support and engineering services to customers across the hospitality sector.
The role involves regular travel to client sites throughout the Brisbane metropolitan area and South East Queensland, with occasional travel to Sydney, Melbourne, and other locations across Australia as required.
You will enjoy a high degree of autonomy while being supported by an experienced technical team, established processes, and a growing network of local stakeholders and partners.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver onsite and remote IT support across hospitality environments.
- Install, configure, and support POS and EPOS solutions.
- Deploy and maintain networking infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Support customer implementations, upgrades, and go-live activities.
- Respond to critical service incidents and provide effective remediation.
- Maintain accurate documentation, service records, and technical reports.
- Work closely with the UK and Australian teams to ensure consistent service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.

What We're Looking ForEssential- Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a field engineering, IT support, or technical services role.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of networking concepts including IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and Wi-Fi.
- Experience supporting Windows-based environments and common business applications.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- A proactive and professional approach to work.
- Full, valid Australian driving licence.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
Desirable- Experience within hospitality, retail, or multi-site customer environments.
- Experience supporting POS or EPOS platforms.
- Exposure to managed service providers (MSPs).
- Knowledge of structured cabling, network installations, and infrastructure deployment.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, or equivalent.
