About the Role
We're looking for a Director of Platform Engineering to lead our Platform group — a team responsible for both software engineering and the more traditional Platform/DevOps/infrastructure domains. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future structure and direction of the group as we scale, working closely with our engineering leadership to define how we build, operate, and secure the infrastructure behind our product.
What You’ll DoResponsibilities:
- Lead and grow a team spanning software engineering, Platform, DevOps, and infrastructure
- Own the architecture and operational excellence of our cloud infrastructure (multi-cloud, Kubernetes, CI/CD)
- Drive initiatives across BYOC (Bring Your Own Cloud) and other software-focused product capabilities
- Partner closely with Product, R&D, and executive leadership to align technical direction with business priorities
- Build and scale engineering processes, culture, and best practices as the team grows
- Recruit, mentor, and develop engineering managers and senior ICs
RequirementsRequirements:
- 5+ years of experience in engineering leadership, with direct management of both software engineering and Platform/DevOps/Infrastructure functions
- 9+ years of overall experience in the field
- Proven experience scaling technical teams in a high-growth startup environment
- Deep hands-on background in cloud architecture (AWS/GCP/Azure), Kubernetes, and CI/CD at scale
- Strong familiarity with modern AI concepts and practical experience applying AI to engineering workflows (e.g., agent orchestration, AI-driven developer tooling)
- Excellent communication skills and experience partnering with cross-functional leadership
- Experience in cybersecurity or a related regulated/enterprise domain is a strong plus
Nice to Have
- Experience with identity, data, or cloud security platforms
- Background in building developer platforms or internal tooling
- Experience operating in regulated/enterprise environments (e.g., FedRAMP, SOC2)
