As a Body Shop Manager, you are a valued member of our team, responsible for directing and coordinating all Body Shop Department activities with the following essential responsibilities:

- Prepare body shop repair estimates in accordance with industry standards.

- Monitor performance vs. budget on a weekly basis.

- Monitor supply inventory and recovery.

- Ensure a safe and clean working environment.

- Inspect and monitor any potential warranty operations.

- Interact with appropriate manufacturer personnel to ensure outstanding customer service and to ensure proper procedures are being followed by dealer personnel.

- Recruit, hire, develop and manage body shop department personnel. Ensure technicians are certified and necessary training classes are scheduled. Address complaints and resolve personnel issues in accordance with established Nextran policies.

- Interface with customers as necessary to provide the best level of service available and resolve customer disputes.

- Ensure that proper procedures are being followed and correct policies are in place to meet customer and company needs.

- Monitor (daily) all open R.O. status to ensure that all finished repair orders are posted and closed within 72 hours of completion.

- Monitor and maintain efficiency and productivity goals.

- Performs other duties as assigned

Preferred Candidates have the following:

- High School diploma or equivalent; College or Technical training preferred.

- 7+years of body shop experience, or related field preferred.

- 3-5 years of supervisory experience.

- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Proficient with use of accident estimating software; AdjustRite preferred.

- Comfortable using email, online platforms, and standard office software to complete daily tasks.

- Strong knowledge and ability to understand financial information as it pertains to dealership operations.

- Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.

- Frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

- Ability to work on feet (standing and walking) for prolonged periods.

- Able to do heavy work for short periods of time, handling heavy product in cold or hot and humid conditions, inside and out.

- Occasionally will need to:

- lift at least 75 lbs from floor to knuckle on an occasional basis,

- lift at least 75 lbs from floor to waist on an occasional basis,

- lift at least 40 lbs from floor to shoulder level on an occasional basis,

- carry at least 75 lbs with two hands for a minimum distance of 5 feet on level surface,

- pull horizontally with a peak force of 100 lbs with two hands

- push horizontally with a peak force of 100 lbs with two hands
