THE PROGRAMME
This is a full-time in-person graduate position based in Dublin, Ireland, offered as an 18-month fixed-term contract commencing on September 6, 2027. You will join the Technology team as a Software Engineer for the duration of the programme and take part in a structured onboarding covering KKR and alternative investments. You will work on real production initiatives across the Investment Lifecycle and asset-class platforms, attend educational and network-building programming, and have the opportunity to showcase your work to technology leaders across the firm.

As part of our continued investment in Ireland, KKR is launching a Technology & Engineering Centre of Excellence in Dublin. This new hub will play a central role in building the world’s first technology platform engineered to manage over one trillion dollars in alternative AUM (assets under management). Designed from the ground up for scale, security and speed, this is the infrastructure for the future of global finance. Areas of focus include investment technology, portfolio construction and management, liquidity solutions, risk analytics, and advanced data platforms

THE TEAMS
Investment Systems
The Investment Systems team engineers all aspects of the Investment Lifecycle across an array of asset classes — from deal sourcing and portfolio construction to risk management and monetisation. They design platforms that connect data, people, and insights across Private Equity, Credit, Real Estate, Infrastructure, and Capital Markets, enabling investment teams to make faster, smarter decisions at scale. Their mandate is to transform how KKR invests by engineering shared, data-driven platforms that replace fragmented legacy tools with integrated solutions that drive efficiency, transparency, and alpha generation.
Business Operations Systems
The Business Operations Systems team is comprised of Operations Systems and Enterprise Systems. It consolidates capabilities across five core domains: Operating Platform Services, which supports the firm's core operating platforms; Client Operations and lifecycle management across Asset Management and Insurance; Finance Technology, providing an integrated fund and corporate finance technology ecosystem; Human Capital & Employee Experience, driving HR platforms, workforce data, collaboration tools, and employee experiences; and Governance, Risk & Compliance Technology, supporting the Legal, Compliance, Risk, Audit, and Tax functions.
CRITICAL COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS
- Recent graduate of a university in Ireland, the UK, or continental Europe with an outstanding academic record
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related technical field, with graduation between January and August 2027
- Right to work in Ireland on a full-time basis without the need for current visa sponsorship
- Proficiency with Java, Python, C/C++
- Curiosity about and openness to adopting emerging AI technologies in day-to-day workflows
- Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy and relevance
- Familiarity with effective prompt design and generating reliable results using generative AI tools
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to act both strategically and tactically with exceptional attention to detail
- Team-player who enjoys working in a collaborative and collegial environment and is willing to pitch in when needed
- Intellectual curiosity and an interest in financial services and alternative investments
