Staff Security Software Engineer

You will design and architect systems that support security goals and the Safety Case. You will lead hands-on implementation of vehicle security systems, integrate security capabilities with partner teams and OEMs, perform security architecture work, and mentor security and non-security engineers.
Responsibilities- Design and architect systems supporting security goals and the Safety Case
- Lead hands-on implementation of vehicle security systems
- Lead integration of security capabilities and components with partner teams
- Ensure security integration into the Aurora Driver platform with Vehicle Platform partners and OEMs
- Guide and mentor security and non-security engineers
Requirements- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Ability to write production-quality code in C++ and Golang
- Ability to work with software engineers on design and code
- Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to translate product requirements into code independently
- Ability to write production code, unit tests, and integration tests
- Ability to debug across module boundaries
- Familiarity with cryptographic protocols, infrastructure security, and network security best practices
- Ability to translate company goals into product requirements
- Ability to lead a team, organize projects, and work cross-functionally
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a security-specific or security-adjacent industry
- Minimum 8 years of software engineering development experience
