Payroll Administrator

Salary: €32,000–€35,000 per annum, depending on experience

Right at Home Ireland is one of Ireland’s leading homecare providers. We are currently recruiting a Payroll Administrator to join our South Dublin office.

The RoleThe Payroll Administrator will have a primary focus on payroll, supporting the accurate and timely processing of the Company’s fortnightly payroll for a large workforce.

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience processing Irish payroll, a good understanding of Revenue requirements and excellent attention to detail. The role involves reviewing payroll information, resolving discrepancies, maintaining accurate employee records and responding to payroll queries from employees and managers.

The position will also provide general administrative support to the Finance Department as required.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with payroll data, systems and processes and is comfortable working to strict deadlines.

Reporting RelationshipReports to: Financial Controller

Payroll Responsibilities- Process the Company’s fortnightly payroll accurately and on time using CollSoft and OneTouch.

- Review and verify employee hours, rates of pay, holidays, absences, allowances, deductions, and other payroll information.

- Process payroll for a large workforce, ensuring employee changes are accurately reflected.

- Add new employees to relevant payroll and workforce-management systems.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records.

- Process CareFriends referral payments.

- Respond to payroll queries from employees and managers in a timely and professional manner.

- Prepare and review payroll reports using Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, and other relevant formulas.

- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and support the identification of payroll errors.

- Complete payroll checks and reconciliations prior to payroll submission.

- Maintain confidential payroll records and supporting documentation.

- Support the timely completion of Revenue payroll submissions and other statutory requirements.

- Apply relevant Irish payroll legislation and Revenue requirements, including PAYE, PRSI and USC.

- Keep up to date with relevant changes to payroll legislation and statutory requirements.

- Support the implementation of legislative and statutory changes within payroll processes.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of payroll processes and procedures.

- Assist with payroll reporting and provide payroll information to management when required.

- Carry out other reasonable payroll-related duties as required.

The primary focus of this position is payroll, with finance administration forming a supporting part of the role.

Data Protection and ConfidentialityThe Payroll Administrator will have access to sensitive employee and financial information and must maintain a high standard of confidentiality at all times.

The successful candidate must comply with applicable data protection legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Protection Acts, as well as Company policies relating to confidentiality, record management and information security.

Essential Requirements- Previous hands-on experience processing Irish payroll.

- Good working knowledge of Irish payroll taxation and Revenue requirements.

- Experience processing fortnightly payroll; experience with monthly payroll is desirable.

- Experience working to strict payroll deadlines.

- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and relevant formulas.

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

- Strong organisational and time-management skills.

- Ability to investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.

- Good written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to respond professionally to employee and management payroll queries.

- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.

Desirable Experience- Experience using CollSoft.

- Experience using OneTouch or a similar workforce-management system.

- Experience with payroll reporting and reconciliations.

- Experience in finance administration or bookkeeping.
