Infinity Pro is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support complex technology delivery and continuous improvement within a major Australian Government environment.

This is a hands-on scaled Agile delivery role working across multiple teams, Product Owners, technical leads and stakeholders. You will facilitate delivery, remove impediments, manage dependencies and help teams build effective, sustainable Agile ways of working.

Essential Experience

- Minimum 3 years' recent hands-on Scrum Master experience across complex ICT projects, ideally within Commonwealth Government IT or very similar environments.

- Strong practical understanding of SAFe / Scaled Agile and its application across multiple delivery teams, program increments and complex programs.

- Demonstrated experience facilitating sprint and PI planning, backlog refinement, Scrum of Scrums, stand-ups, retrospectives, iteration reviews and showcases.

- Proven stakeholder engagement, servant leadership, team coaching, dependency management, problem-solving and continuous improvement capabilities.

- Proficiency using Azure DevOps, Microsoft Office applications and Agile project-management tools to coordinate delivery, maintain transparent boards, track progress and report outcomes.

Highly regarded but not essential

- SAFe Scrum Master certification or other recognised Agile certifications.

- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.

- Microsoft Dynamics 365 / D365 or related enterprise-platform delivery experience.

- Large-scale ICT transformation, DevOps delivery practices and extensive cross-agency stakeholder engagement.

What you will work on

- Facilitate complex Agile ceremonies across multiple squads and support Program Increment planning, Agile Release Train activities and system demonstrations.

- Partner with Product Owners, technical leads and architects to shape and prioritise backlogs, including Dynamics 365 and related platform work.

- Identify impediments, coordinate cross-team dependencies, manage risks and support change control and improved delivery outcomes.

- Establish and improve Agile operating models, coach teams and encourage good engineering, peer-review and quality practices.

- Maintain delivery visibility through Agile boards, sprint metrics, burn-up/burn-down reporting and project reporting tools such as Altus.

Location and working arrangements

Canberra is the preferred location. Highly suitable candidates based in NSW, VIC, QLD or SA may be considered where an appropriate departmental office location is agreed.

The role requires attendance at the applicable office at least 2 days per week. Flexible working arrangements require a formal Working from Home Agreement before commencement. This is not a fully remote position.

Candidates must be eligible to obtain Baseline security clearance. Applicants already holding a current Baseline, NV1 or NV2 clearance are encouraged to apply.

The opportunity

An initial 12-month contract with up to two possible 12-month extensions, supporting meaningful enterprise technology delivery across an Australian Government environment. The estimated commencement is November 2026, with up to 40 hours per week.

Shortlisted applicants will be required to provide a one-page response addressing the selection criteria (maximum 5,000 characters) and details of two referees.

Applications are being reviewed immediately due to the short submission timeframe. Please include your current location, availability, expected hourly rate, citizenship and security-clearance status with your resume.
