WSP is currently initiating a search for a Construction Inspector for our Pittsburgh, PA office.
Your Impact
Job Description:
- Provides field measurements and reports for payment quantities and changes in the work
- Reads and interprets drawings, specifications, and standards
- Inspects various facets of work on the construction site for compliance with plans, specifications, and appropriate standards
- Makes contract payments for review and approval
- Observes general job safety practices and enforces contractor's safety plan
- Comply with client policies and procedures for inspection of work under contract
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Who You Are
Minimum Requirements:
- High school graduate
- Minimum of 3 years experience
- Experience with PennDOT, Allegheny County, and/or Port Authority of Allegheny County preferred
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
- Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Any Level NICET certification
- Current NECEPT-Bituminous and ACI/PennDOT Concrete field technician
- PennDOT ECMS or PA Turnpike Kahua
