Aster Retail GCC is looking for a highly analytical and hands-on BI & Data Analytics Lead to build trusted enterprise reporting and analytics solutions across various functions with a focus on Finance. This role will work hand-in-hand with the finance team on a daily basis and help build and resolve critical information requirements at a quick pace.
Ability to understand complex data structures with multiple entities, dimensions and categories is essential. Additionally, the candidate must possess the ability to suggest and drive improvements to the system design and provide solutions to be able to deliver on information requirements in a seamless and automated manner.
This role will be responsible for designing scalable analytics platforms, developing executive dashboards, driving data governance, and ensuring consistent reporting across Microsoft Dynamics 365, POS, and other business systems.
The ideal candidate combines strong Power BI expertise with deep data modelling, SQL, integration, and business analytics capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Business Intelligence & Reporting
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Deliver actionable insights for Finance, Operations, Commercial, and Supply Chain teams.
- Develop executive and management dashboards for strategic decision-making.
- Build KPI-driven reporting frameworks and scorecards.
Data Modelling & Engineering
- Design scalable semantic models and datasets.
- Develop robust ETL and data transformation processes.
- Integrate data across: D365 F&O, POS Systems, Fabric, Data Lakes, Databricks, Financial Consolidation Platforms, Third Party Apps.
Finance & Reconciliation Analytics
- Assist with extraction, delivery and reconciliation of data-heavy audit requests
- Build and improve financial reporting solutions
- Develop SKU-level sales, margin, and profitability reporting.
- Drive reconciliation between operational systems and GL / sub-ledgers
- Enable department-level spend visibility and analysis.
- Improve trust and consistency in reporting across the organization.
Advanced Analytics & Automation
- Support AI-driven reconciliation and exception management initiatives.
- Build predictive and trend analysis models.
- Automate reporting and manual data preparation activities.
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies through analytics.
Governance & Data Quality
- Establish reporting standards and governance frameworks.
- Monitor data quality and integrity.
- Implement security and access controls within reporting platforms.
- Ensure consistency of metrics and business definitions.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Work directly with business leaders to understand analytical requirements.
- Translate business challenges into actionable dashboards and reports.
- Conduct user training and promote self-service analytics adoption.
- Act as trusted advisor on reporting and analytics strategy.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or related field.
- 5-8 years of Business Intelligence and Analytics experience.
- Minimum 3 years of advanced Power BI development experience.
- Experience supporting Finance and Enterprise Reporting functions.
- Proven track record delivering enterprise-scale dashboards and analytics solutions.
