Care Connect is seeking an experienced PMO Manager to lead our Project Management Office and support the successful delivery of strategic initiatives, technology improvements and business transformation projects across the organisation.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager Strategy, Technology & Delivery, the PMO Manager leads Care Connect’s Project Management Office and oversees delivery of the Transformation Program, ensuring strategic initiatives achieve their intended outcomes and benefits.

Combining people leadership, portfolio management and hands-on delivery, you’ll lead a team of Project Managers and Business Analysts, strengthen delivery frameworks and governance, and work closely with senior stakeholders to manage priorities, resources, risks and dependencies.

You’ll prepare business cases that clearly articulate the rationale, costs, benefits and delivery approach for proposed initiatives. You’ll also lead quarterly portfolio review cycles to assess progress, review benefits and capacity, and recommend changes to priorities, sequencing and funding.

Alongside your oversight of transformation delivery, you may personally lead high-profile strategic projects across the business.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead strategic organisational and transformation projects from initiation to completion

- Lead a high-performing national PMO team.

- Provide oversight of project portfolios, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.

- Facilitate project prioritisation, resource planning and portfolio reporting.

- Monitor project performance, risks, budgets, benefits and delivery outcomes.

- Develop executive reporting, dashboards and portfolio insights.

- Build strong relationships with executive leaders and key stakeholders.

- Support enterprise-wide change initiatives and organisational transformation.

- Drive continuous improvement across project delivery practices, tools and governance.

About You

You'll be a strategic and collaborative leader who combines strong project delivery expertise with excellent stakeholder management skills.

You're comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels and have experience building project capability, leading teams and delivering complex change in dynamic environments.

To be successful, you will have:

- Proven experience leading or establishing a Project Management Office (PMO).

- Extensive program and project delivery experience across complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

- Experience leading project managers, business analysts and delivery teams.

- Strong project governance, reporting and portfolio management capability.

- Experience delivering business transformation, operational change and technology initiatives.

- Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.

- Experience engaging and reporting to senior executives, leadership teams and Boards.

- Strong financial, risk and resource management experience.

- Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies and frameworks.

- Experience working with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, Asana or similar platforms.

Highly Regarded

- Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, Agile or equivalent certification.

- Experience in aged care, health, community services or other highly regulated industries.

- Experience leading organisational change initiatives.

- Strategic planning and business transformation experience.
