ADAS Feature Owner

As a Platform Feature Owner at Aptiv, you will take ownership of advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) features throughout their entire lifecycle, from initial concept and requirements definition to development, validation, and continuous improvement. You will act as the key technical interface between customer expectations, product strategy, and cross-functional engineering teams. Working across the ADAS technology stack, you will ensure that features meet performance, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. Your contribution will help Aptiv deliver innovative and reliable solutions that advance vehicle safety and automated driving technologies.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end development and lifecycle management of assigned ADAS features, from initial concept and requirements definition through implementation, validation, and continuous improvement.
- Define, review, and maintain functional requirements and test methods, translating customer needs and product objectives into clear technical specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, systems engineering, and product management, to ensure successful feature development and integration.
- Lead feature validation activities across simulation, resimulation, and real-world testing environments, ensuring compliance with performance, quality, and safety requirements.
- Monitor feature performance through relevant KPIs, identify technical issues, and drive root cause analysis and resolution across the ADAS technology stack.
- Act as the main technical point of contact for assigned features, aligning stakeholder expectations and supporting technical decisions throughout the development process.
- Ensure feature compliance with applicable automotive regulations and safety standards, including Euro NCAP, UN regulations, GSR, and NHTSA requirements.
- Monitor industry developments, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes, proposing improvements and contributing to the evolution of the feature roadmap.
Your Background
- Educational background in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related technical field.
- Knowledge of ADAS technologies, vehicle functions, and the development lifecycle of complex automotive systems.
- Understanding of requirements engineering, system integration, functional validation, and performance assessment.
- Familiarity with simulation-based testing, vehicle testing, and the use of KPIs to evaluate feature performance.
- Awareness of automotive safety requirements and regulatory frameworks, including Euro NCAP, GSR, UN regulations, and NHTSA.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate technical discussions and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage stakeholders, drive technical decisions, and work effectively in a cross-functional engineering environment.
